Application Of The Defense Style Questionnaire (DSQ) Model Of Self Defense Mechanism In Post Stroke Patients

Background: Post-stroke patients experience changes in physical function so that they need self-defense mechanisms order to adapt their conditions. The mechanism model a person uses appears when faces reality causes fear, anxiety, and insecurity. purpose of this study was determine the post-stroke working area UPTD Bendo Health Center, Pare District, Kediri Regency.
 Methods: research design is descriptive, population 56 people sample 49 respondents using purposive sampling technique. conducted on March 20 - April 2023. variables were models patients. instrument used defense style questionnaire.
 Results: results showed 22.40% mature, neurotic, immature model, 10.2% mature 14.3% 8.20% immature, 16.3% neurotic 12.2 did not use model.
 Conclusion: by influenced several factors including age, gender, work history, family support, information. Models can be simultaneously or alternately, useful for facilitating adaptation
